Hi, has anybody had success treating cluster headaches with acupuncture or herbs. I am a UK practitioner. I would appreciate any help here.

Many thanks

Andy Colombini

Hello Andy,

Our general protocol for cluster headaches involves the following points. We generally do tuina quite deeply first, then needling, and after removing the needles more tuina. The points we use tuina on are notated with a (*). These points would generally be in addition to those based on their overall TCM pattern as appropriate...

Tiandong, SI 16, TH 16, huatuo C1, huatuo C2 (all tuina, particularly on the side that is most sore to the patient)

GV 20, LI 4, LV 3, SI 17, ST 36
